Local Planting Services

Whether you are thinking about replacing a tree in your garden, perhaps you'd like to remove a tree from your land, adding a new hedgerow boundary, or you are looking for help with a commercial tree planting project for your estate, our experienced team can help.

We are often hired where existing trees are dying, have been cut down to make way for building and construction or affected by extreme weather conditions. From one tree to an entire development or woodland area, we would be happy to discuss your individual needs – whether you want to create more privacy from neighbouring buildings, reduce air or noise pollution, add more maturity to your garden or to offset your carbon footprint we would welcome the opportunity to work with you.

As part of our tree planting services we take into account the suitability of the soil, drainage, light, wind exposure and any competition from surrounding trees and plants and include this in our planning process if help with this is required.

We welcome clients who like to source their own plants and are equally happy to make recommendations and suggestions of a wide range of trees and shrubs tailored to suit your needs, vision and budget.
Having been in the industry for over a decade we have a lot of knowledge of tree species and the conditions they thrive in and we are happy to advise what trees to plant, when to plant them, and where to plant them.

When is the best time to plant trees?

For tree planting Bedford clients are advise to carry this out in the winter and this is down the the fact that trees, even evergreen trees, are in a dormant state in the winter months and only relying on their rooting systems for anchorage and nothing else.

Aftercare

Once the initial stage is complete, it is important to then begin a process of after care. Some of the areas to watch out for include ‘drought stress’ which can be common for newly planted trees and shrubs to suffer from. Even in cool wet summer weather, soil can become dry around the roots even when the surface appears wet or moist. And naturally, dry and windy weather is particularly likely to cause to water shortage.

We will assist with plenty of help and advice when you employ our domestic or commercial tree planting services and our team will always be on hand to answer any questions. We also provide a coppicing and pollarding service in our woodland management service.
